From classmates to co‑creators, RY & RU is the result of a decade of shared vision and the bold pursuit of something that feels entirely our own.

Ry & Ru
It started in Punjab, where Harry’s passion for fashion first took root - markets buzzing, fabrics stalls full of life, and in the middle of it all, Harry noticing what felt missing. Clarity arrived when he moved to the Gold Coast. He began to see the imbalance: women’s sections full of newness, while men lingered with options that felt limited and uninspired.
Harry's observation turned into a spark. He began handpicking fabrics and designing clothes he’d wear to markets, only to be met with compliments. When Charu stepped in, bringing an intuitive sense for comfort and tactility, the idea widened. She added softness and soul to the story, believing comfort wasn’t an afterthought - it was the foundation.
Together, they envisioned a label built on ease, clothes that feel at home on the body, indoors or outdoors. RY & RU is a love story, stitched with intention - shaped by observation, grounded in comfort, and designed for people.

Let’s be honest: building a slow‑fashion brand from scratch isn’t a soft‑focus montage. It’s running through markets, testing fabrics endlessly, saying “not yet” until it’s right, and travelling across cities to find the right makers — then celebrating like kids when things finally fall into place. It was messy. It was beautiful.
And it was worth it.
